There is nothing like Traditional Camp. Camp spirit,
making friends, playing games, learning to swim,
sports, going on adventures and hanging out with
counselors who serve as excellent role models
are just some of what comes with this camp.
Each four-week session is held on our 250-acre West Bloomfield campus
and provides campers with an enriching experience filled with an
enormous variety of activities:
Pre-school (Ages 2 ½ to 4 ½)
Choose: Half day: 9:30 a.m.-noon
Full day: 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Choose: Two, three or five days each week
Your little ones will love this program, licensed by the Michigan Department
of Human Services. Campers use the fabulous Sarah & Irving Pitt Child
Development Center facilities, which include two playgrounds, one of which
has a huge palm tree water sprinkler! Swim lessons are taught daily, and
both sessions include an out-of-camp adventure. Full-day participants
receive free transportation and a kosher
Kindergarten-Fourth Grade
This age group will meet on camp grounds. Activity rotations each day
include specialty times and swim lessons, along with all the great offerings
listed to the left. We will have an exciting field trip every week - one different
for each of the eight weeks of traditional camp. We also will host a family
night each session. Special activities will include a Joe Cornell dance party,
Maccabi Games, dress-up days, Sloppy Day, scavenger hunts and more.
Sample Schedule:
9:30: All-camp spirit session
10 a.m.-noon: Activity rotations
Noon-12:30 p.m.: Lunch
12:30-2:45 p.m.: Activity rotations
2:45-3:30 p.m.: Snack and dismissal
Kindergarteners
Choose: Three full days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
or five full days
