The Jewish Life and Learning Department at the Jewish Community Center celebrates Jewish identity through cultural and educational programs. We have programs available for all ages. Whether you want to attend a concert, lecture, family event, or are looking for mitzvah opportunities, we have something for everyone!

Janice Charach Gallery - NEW Newsletter!
The Janice Charach Gallery exhibits works of fine art created by Jewish artists or art with Jewish themes, traveling historical and documentary exhibits curated by other cultural institutions.

 

 

JET - Jewish Ensemble Theater
The Aaron DeRoy Theatre, located in the lower
level of the D. Dan & Betty Kahn Building in
West Bloomfield is home to the
Jewish Ensemble Theatre Company (JET).
JET presents 4-6 shows every season, with the
mission is to produce theatre of the highest
professional standards and to provide a stage for
the exploration of ideas that confront issues of
humanity and community from the Jewish perspective.

 

 

 



The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School,
a project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem,
enables adult Jewish learners from all backgrounds
to learn about our heritage and culture in a challenging
and inspiring course of study. If you desire a strong foundation in Jewish learning, and want to incorporate
that learning into your daily life, this is the place for you.

 

Sunday, December 14, 2008 11AM-4PM, Jimmy Prentis Morris Building. 50/50 raffle. Tickets are only $5 or $20 for five. For information call 248-967-4030.   Kids & Strings, Sunday, February 22, 2009, 2PM. An interactive Concert for Families and Children ages 3 to 6.  Sponsored by the Wally P. Straus Art Fund.  Performed by the Ambassador Quintet which is comprised of Detroit Symphony Orchestra members.  Tickets are Center members, $5, Non-members $7, Children 3 and older $4 or $18 for the whole family. 

Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival
The film festival provides the community with exclusive cinema selected from the world's best contemporary films on Jewish themes.
